Intake Process

Specialty HomeCare Services follows a protocol for people seeking information and/or services.

  • A representative will offer to meet with interested parties to ascertain the kind of services that are desired, or will send out the information requested.
  • A nurse will set up a home assessment, determining any safety issues and the individual needs of the client, and will create an individual care plan. This is a free service.
  • The nurse will contact the office support staff and request the days and hours of service, and indicate the nature of the care that will be provided.
  • The office support staff will call the client/family, confirm the name of the SHS caregiver and the date the services will begin.
  • Quarterly, or more often as needed, a nurse will review the careplan.
  • Communication is an intrinsic piece of the service we provide. SHS is dedicated to providing quality care; we respect comments that are negative or positive.
  • SHS conducts monthly survey calls in our effort to improve services.
